My Family’s Hamburger Seasoning
My Family’s Seasonings uses only the freshest spices and herbs available. For juicy burgers, take approx. ¼ lb of ground meat sprinkle desired amount of seasoning onto meat and roll in a ball, using wax paper flatten meat into patties, round out edges and throw on the grill on in a pan on medium heat.
Tip: When cooking on the stove top only flip meat once. Let it cook well on each side. This really keeps the juices in!
My Family’s Hamburger Seasoning is great on any cut of beef, chicken, pork or poultry. Generously sprinkle on meat and cook as usual.

INGREDIENTS:
- 1-2 TBLS My Family’s Poultry Seasonings, divided
- 2 TBLS butter, softened
- 1 whole (3-4 LB) chicken
- 2 oranges, cut and quartered
- 1 med. Onion, cut into wedges
- 6 leeks
- 6 carrots
- 2 TBLS olive oil
- ¼ tsp salt and pepper
- 6 ozs. spinach, rinsed
- 2 ounces feta cheese crumbled
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Mix 2 tsp My Family’s Poultry Seasoning with butter. Rub 3/4 of butter mixture under chicken skin (breasts and legs) and remaining mixture on the outside of chicken. Sprinkle 1 tsp. My Family’s Poultry Seasoning over outside of chicken and stuff 4 orange halves, 2 leeks, 2 carrots, onion wedges, inside the chicken cavity.
- For best results, use a poultry bag. Follow cooking instructions from bag. Form a rack in the bottom on the bag by arranging a single layer of a leek, carrot, leek, carrot, or you can do the same with in a roasting pan. When using a roasting pan be sure to cover poultry when cooking. The leeks will flavor the meat and make a great pan gravy. It will also prevent the skin from sticking to the pan.
- Remove chicken or turkey from oven; let rest 10 minutes.
- OPTIONAL: Transfer vegetables to a large skillet. Add salt and pepper. Cook 1-2 minutes over low heat. Toss in spinach just before serving. Cook 1-2 minutes or until leaves wilt. Remove from heat; gently stir in feta and juice of one-half orange. Remove vegetables to a large platter. Carve chicken and serve over vegetables.
Use an instant-read thermometer . . . this gives a far more accurate reading.
